Southport’s Gingerbread Trail has names from all around the world this year.
Southport BID has worked with pupils and staff at Holy Trinity Primary School in Southport to come up with the names, in languages including Polish, Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian and Malayalam.
The Gingerbread Trail is now open and runs until 2nd January 2022.
There are 10 Gingerbread figures to spot at locations throughout Southport town centre.
Families are able to download a Gingerbread Trail Map by clicking on the Southport BID website here.
Those who spot all 10 figures will go into a draw to win an iPad!

Southport BID CEO Rachel Fitzgerald said: “Families loved our Southport Gingerbread Trail last year, we couldn’t wait to bring it back.
“It’s a fun way of encouraging people to enjoy a walk around Southport town centre, allowing them to discover the many superb shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, attractions and other local businesses we have here along the way.
“We look forward to seeing people following the trail, and looking out for the Gingerbread figures in windows around the town centre.
“When you have made a note of all 10, please post your answers in Santa’s letterbox in Marble Place shopping centre on Chapel Street, and you will be entered into the draw to win an iPad! You can also send your answers to info@southportbid.com

Pupils at Holy Trinity Primary School, on Manchester Road, have been enjoying working together to come up with this year’s names.
Assistant Headteacher Helen Daniels said: “We have decided to go with a theme of names from around the world which links to our Jingle Bells video - where our pupils sang the song in the languages we speak at school.
“All the children were really excited when Southport BID invited us to become involved!
“At Holy Trinity we have 23 different languages being spoken.
“We really appreciate the very diverse community that we have here.
“We have Polish children here, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Indian, Hungarian, Lithuaian, Latvian, pupils from all over the globe.
“We have a Young Interpreters initiative, which is a buddy scheme, where pupils help other children to settle in when they first arrive. This is a very warm and welcoming school. We work so hard with our local community as well.
“Luke Randles and Bertie Cunningham from Southport BID came into our school and helped us to put together our Jingle Bells video, with pupils singing the words in different languages.”
