Southport BID and the local business community are organising this very special festive event inside Wayfarers Arcade on Lord Street in Southport between Wednesday 21st December 2022 and Christmas Eve (Saturday 24th December 2022).

As Santa is busy preparing for Christmas deliveries, the StarKidz Frozen characters will be visiting the festive Grotto to share a special experience with all their little friends.

Spend some time with Anna, Elsa and friends, and choose a high-quality Frozen themed gift

to take home.

The cost is a £10 donation per child, which includes one Christmas gift. Bookings are available via theSouthport BID website

All proceeds will be distributed to local charities and organisations Southport Lions Club, Southport Lifeboat and Queenscourt Hospice.

Groups with more than one child should book multiple slots as required.

The Frozen Grotto is among a wide range of fun festive activities being provided by Southport BID through funding by local businesses, to attract people to come and enjoy all that the town has to offer.

Other attractions include a Gingerbread Trail, Christmas Carriage rides, a Christmas Grotto, a Christmas Elf Party, an Illustrate Illuminate Trail and more. A special Festive Fun Day was held in November.

Southport BID CEO Rachel Fitzgerald said: “Families will love sharing lots of fun and mayhem with the brilliant Starkidz elves! The Frozen Grotto will be a magical experience for children in the week before Christmas, with tickets on a first come first served basis.

“There is lots to do in Southport this Christmas with Gingerbread Trails, the Christmas Grotto at Wayfarers Arcade and so much more to enjoy too, which have all been made possible thanks to funding from local firms, through Southport BID.

“We would love to see people repay that investment by spending with local firms this winter.

“People can enjoy even more events and attractions locally too such as ice skating and drive-in festive movies at Victoria Park, Christmas movies at Southport Bijou Cinema, pantomimes at Southport Little Theatre and The Atkinson, and Santa and Elf visits at Southport Market.

“Southport is a wonderful place to be this Christmas.”

Southport BID has worked alongside Marketing Southport to create a physical and digital brochure for the Southport town centre Christmas programme.  This includes details on all BID-funded activities, a map for the Gingerbread Family and Illustrate Illuminate trails, and other key events from partners in the BID area.

Christmas brochures are available digitally, while the BID has also distributed 5,000 copies to venues throughout Southport town centre.
