Dr Lucy Coyne

Lucy qualified from University of Nottingham in 2004 and worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 2005 onwards. Lucy has over 12 years’ experience in diagnosing and managing infertility. She was trained in reproductive medicine and assisted conception by Professor Kingsland at The Hewitt Centre Liverpool, 2010-2012. During this time, she completed British Fertility Society certification in pelvic ultrasound, embryo transfer and intrauterine insemination. Lucy also completed research during this time focusing her interest on both natural killer cells and endometriosis and was awarded the RCOG Endometriosis Millennium Fund Grant to support her work. Lucy has published articles on 3D ultrasound, natural killer cells, endometriosis and recurrent miscarriage.
Lucy then completed advanced training in both open and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery, during which time she was awarded a place on the BSGE Surgical Masterclass Course gaining experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery in both the UK and Europe. Subsequently, she was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust where she was lead for Reproductive Medicine including both Fertility and Menopause services as well as leading the Fertility service for the North West Regional Spinal injuries unit.
